  * Log Levels - Allows administrator to determine what severity of message should be logged
  * Log Delayed Writes - Increases Performance of Scanner when log file is pointing to a busy network
  * Internal Scanning of files to determine file type  - Prevent students from renaming files to bypass the scanner.

  * Monitoring of Drives for changes in Files and rescan of those files  - Stops students from utiliziing other methods of using banned file by constantly monitoring their data locations.

  * Faster scanning and identification of files - Scannerhas been redesigne. Instead of a FIFO format where the first drive in would get scanned, we have we worked it into a BATCH format. Jobs are handed as a sequence of files, asychronously to the drive detector. Multiple streams can be scanned at once.

  * File Actions occur immediately on detection - Instead of building a bunch of files that need action and presenting them to the Action queue. Files are presented to the action queue on detection. Enabling instant action.

  * Added Progress screen - For longer scans
  * Added ability to prevent files in Office Documents being opened via detection of data manipulated in the %userprofile% area.

  * Ability to lock keyboard and mouse whilst scan is underway -To prevent students accessing banned data before the scan has completed.

  * When DISABLE scanner button is click, Scanner is disabled instantly instead of waiting for last batch of scans to finish.
