EYE Logger v1.0 (Superceded by EyeLogger Client v2.0 - Only use if you do not want to use a database backend)
Ever wanted to know who has logged on and where on your network, well
this application is for you. Eyelogger writes a log of the Username,
Computer, Time, Date and IP address to a login.log file in the login
subfolder.
Network Monitoring Installation
1) Create a network folder and copy all the files to this folder.
2) Make this folder have read access to all users you intend to run this program with
3) Create a sub-folder called login. Give Read/Write access to all
users you intend to run this program with. (If you are running a
Netware network, you can remove the ERASE flag on this folder for extra
security)
4) In your login script run the executable (eye.exe), or create a
shortcut to this program in the startup folder of your workstations.
More Information
Running "eye.exe /silent" will make the startup banner disappear.
Files written are based on the short date format in the Windows Control
panel. If you find you are getting more than one login.log file for one
day, try setting the date options in windows control panel to be the
same across all your workstations. This will be a particular issue for
windows 98 workstations.
